More info

Mobiles are a traditional craft in Denmark, but the modern mobile - as a decoration for the home - was created in 1954 by Christian Flensted and his wife Grethe. Their first design, the Stork mobile, was a great success, and now flies all over the world.

Flensted Mobiles are created so that the elements are in constant motion while the entire mobile maintains a harmonic balance. Each mobile is carefully assembled, and balanced by skilful hands. They are packed so that they are ready to hang.
Ecological production
Let me explain, instead of 50 workers every day drive into the factory and assemble mobiles, they work from their homes. Every 14 day we drive on 1 trip visiting all workers, exchange unassembled parts for mobiles packaged and ready to ship. We save 50 x 10 days of driving very 2 weeks or approximately 200 days a year for each employee. Let's say each live 5 miles from work, they get 20 miles to the gallon, it will then come out to saving 2500 gallons of gas a year.
We have been doing this for over 50 years.
