Klippan Yllefabrik is a Swedish company founded in 1879 by Jöns PetterMagnusson in the small town of Klippan in southern Sweden. The company was originally a small woolen mill. It is developing thanks to the quality of wool, which it imports from New Zealand, and its wide range of colours. But over the generations, its leaders understand that they will sell fewer and fewer balls of wool and that it is necessary to diversify by weaving blankets for the Swedish market. They acquire a real know-how. This is how they trained some of their customers, including a factory in Latvia that delivered large quantities of blankets to the Soviet regime until its fall. The ensuing disorders put this society in difficulty. She then calls on Klippan to help her. At that time, Klippan became the owner of the factory and kept all the staff in place. It is now the international production site of the brand. The headquarters are still in Sweden, led by the 5th generation of Magnusson, as well as the creation of the models. For the creation, Klippan calls on Swedish designers, including Bengt and Lotta. The latter have also created their own brand which complements the Klippan range.
