Nestled nicely between imposing mountains, where the deep fjords of Norway's west coast end, you will find the village of Dale. Since the very beginning in 1879, the local Bergsdal River has supplied our factory with energy. Due to the cold winters, Norway has a long tradition of wool and knitting. This gives us a rich heritage of beautiful designs, inspired by nature and history. We are one of the few textile companies still producing in Norway. It's been quite a journey since its beginnings in 1879. Our factory has survived several devastating fires, two world wars, a depression, a few floods and several pandemics. From raw wool to finished products, their knits have been refined using over 140 years of experience. Warm, insulating, windproof and even water-repellent and beautiful.

DALE OF NORWAY clothing is 100% virgin wool from Norway, because these fibers are more airy and therefore less heavy and much more insulating against cold, humidity and wind. Dale of Norway has been outfitting winter sports athletes since 1956.
