With design cues from our 1976 Innsbruck Winter Olympics sweater, the TINDEFJELL hat is a sporty hat made of 100% skin soft merino wool, lined with polypropylene. An enlarged, refined version of the classic Norwegian eight-petal rose brings hints of snow crystals and winter stars to the design.
Skinsoft merino wool, what is this? Our superwash merino wool is one of the finest wool qualities available.Coming from merino sheep living in a warm climate, merino has very fine and long staple fibers, giving a very smooth next-to-skin comfort.Naturally, our wool is mulesing-fee. Garments knitted with Zefir can be machine washed using wool-cycle. (Fiber diameter: 20.5 micron)
Polypropylene Liner - What is it? Polypropylene is one of the highest performing fibers available. Used for a long time already in the design of utilitarian clothing from nurses to sportswear for high-level athletes, polypropylene fiber has many useful properties on a daily basis: - Thermo-regulating (lowest conductivity of all existing fibers) - Does not retain moisture (water absorption index of polypropylene almost zero) - Ultra-light in weight (lower density than water, 50% lighter than cotton at equivalent volume) - Resistant (abrasion resistance of this material 2.5 times greater than that of cotton or wool) - Hypoallergenic (material is chemically inert) - Recyclable (its production does not pollute the environment - water - air - soil)
