A heavy, patterned wool sweater with a relaxed fit. The sweater is designed to look like a round-knit sweater, but has a classic construction with raglan sleeves. Sula is a thick and comfortable sweater knitted in 100% long-lasting wool.
The pattern is built around a floral pattern taken from our Dale archives. The narrow contrasting stripes on the ribbed waist and the ribbed cuffs on the sleeves are also typical features of older Dale sweaters. Sula is a popular summit destination near Harstad. The mountain rises 848 meters above sea level and is a great place to experience northern Norwegian nature, fjords and mountain terrain.
What is Long-lasting wool?
A proprietary blend of wool produced in Norway from Norwegian sheep.
Due to this yarn’s unique qualities and consistent popularity, this wool quality has been a part of our family since 1939!
Norwegian wool is one of the world’s most animal-friendly textile fibers, due to the sheep’s natural mountain life. This yarn offers an authentic look renowned for its uniquely crisp look and longevity.
Garments knitted with Plover needs to be hand washed. (Fiber diameter: 33 micron)
Dale of Norway is synonymous with excellent quality, design and craftsmanship. Since 1879 the people of Dale have been crafting unique yarns and knitwear, and today they are proud to be the world"s leading brand of authentic and exclusive Norwegian knitwear.
Their designs are inspired by the magnificent nature that surrounds them and by their love for the mountains and the great outdoors. Norwegians have long traditions in wearing knitwear for both sport and pleasure, and a woollen sweater from Dale of Norway is for many the obvious choice while enjoying nature and mountain life.
